CCS/TMS570LS3137: Need help getting started with tracing

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I'm looking for a tutorial that will help me get started with tracing the following configuration:

CCS 8.2.0.00007
TMS570LS3731
XDS100v2 USB Debug Probe or XDS110 USB Debug Probe

I've downloaded Trace Analyzer User’s Guide (SPRUHM7B) but it seems to differ in many ways from the current version of CCS.

The XDS100V2 doesn't support trace.

Hi Hugh,

No, XDS110 doesn't support trace.

XDS560V2 Pro Trace supports and XDS560V2 System Trace USB/Ethernet support trace.

There appear to be several variants within the XDS560V2 family, none of them inexpensive. Can you confirm that the XDS560v2 System Trace USB & Ethernet Debug Probe (TMDSEMU560V2STM-UE) will allow hardware trace on the TMS570LS3137?

I use XDS560V2 Pro Trace for trace. It supports up to 32 channels.
