TMDSCNCD28388D: Converter synchronization with EtherCAT on TMDSCNCD28388D

Dear TI-Support Team,

to synchronize several converters, controlled with the TMDSCNCD28388D, we want to use EtherCAT and its Distributed Clocks feature. We could already make the "f2838x_cpu1_pdi_hal_test_app" running on the CPU as described in the EtherCAT_Slave_Controller_User_Guide.pdf. For further planning, could you please explain us the next steps, to perform the synchronization as soon as possible? Are still a lot more steps required to finish this task. Im sorry, but our knowledge of EtherCAT is maximum basic.

Hi David,

I plan to add steps to the next 'EtherCAT_Slave_Controller_User_Guide' revision for configuring DC-sync. In the mean time I found section 3.2 Run Mode in the ETG document below helpful for configuring DC-sync mode. Note that you will need an ETG membership to access the doc.
