Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customer who has an annual requirement of 10k per year needs an alternative to PIC32MZ2048EFG100-I/PT.

Could you help with the closest alternative that can be use? Not sure if C2000 is appropriate or a different MCU line is advisable.

It depends on what peripherals they are using. Certainly there is nothing that is even close to an easy cross.

In general PIC32 with the MIPS CPU is more of a general purpose processor typically used for comms/host functions vs. a C2000 used for real-time control of power electronics and signal processing.

You can try pointing them to TMS320F28377S or TMS320F28384D if they are using Ethernet.

The application is receipt printer. They need USB communication only. Below are the requirement spec.
