TMS320F28377S: composer studio 10.3 Library Errors

Part Number: TMS320F28377S
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi Team,

Can you please check and advise with following request?

"

We made our first tests with Code Composer version 6.2 using the LAUNCHXL-F28377S development board. We used the V210 Header and library files available in the control suite. It worked without any problems.
Later, we did our experiments using Code composer studio 9.3 and code composer studio 10.3 versions. We encountered constant library errors, obj file errors, gmakefile errors in these versions. We could not find suitable header files and libraries to work with these versions on Texas Instrument site. It again recommends the V210 library in the forums, but it gives too many errors. We look forward to your support about the current library files.
In addition, interrupt times, ram areas, etc. that we have set in code composer studio version 6.2. It differs when we switch to the new version. We cannot run the software we wrote with 6.2 version as we want in 10.3 version.
For example, in Code composer studio 6.2, we set the PWM interrupts to 100 micro seconds. When we compile and run the same code in code composer version 10.3, the interrupt time increases to 200 micro seconds. We also expect your support in this regard.

"

Thanks in advance

Best Regards

  • Hi Furkan,

Have you checked out the latest device support available in C2000Ware. Can you provide mroe details to the issues observed when switching CCS versions.

    Regards,

    Ozino

  • Hi,

    We are using latest device support in C2000Ware. Our problems;

The code that works correctly in CCS6.2 version does not work correctly in CCS version 10.3.
For example, in the CCS version 6.2 we set the PWM channels with a switching frequency of 10 kHz.
Later, when we run the same code with CCS 10.3 version, the PWM channels output 5 kHz.
Also, interrupt times and instruction processing times are changing.

    Regards,
    Emre

  • Emre,

It sounds like you there are changes in the project settings. Can you double check that you haven't modified the project settings for your PWM frequency.

Do note that changes in CCS should not results in project modifications. Please ensure that you are correctly configuring the PWMs.

You could also try to re import your project in a different workspace.

    Regards,

    Ozino
