TMS320F28377D and TMS320F28375D Software Compatible or not

Hello sir,

Currently we are using TMS320F28377D Controller in one project.

Now We want to replace this controller with TMS320F28375D.

So is there any need to change my software.

or simply the same .out file should be used.

Both controllers are software compatible or not??

    Hi,

    We have "Table 6-1. Device Comparison" in device datasheet which list out all the feature available on both these device. You need to look at this and make sure you are using common feature. One of the difference is TMS320F28375D device only has 12bit ADC where as TMS320F28377D  supports both (16bit and 12bit).

    Yes, the controllers are fully software compatible. The only potential problem would be if the software tries to use hardware features on F28375D that are only available on F28377D.

    The comparison table that Vivek recommended is a good place to quickly identify such hardware differences.
