Hi,

UART pinmux done for GPIO 42,GPIO43 same can be used for SCIA and UART but when i tried to transmit data in uart it is not working

    Hi Maheshwar,

    Any set of pins for SCI-A can indeed be used to transmit/receive data, but there are some factors to consider.  

    What are you trying to talk to and what interface/transceiver is required?:  

    • If talking to a PC, you'll need an RS-232 transceiver or something like a virtual serial port over USB provided by an FTDI device. 
    • If talking to another MCU, you might be able to directly use the CMOS logic levels directly from the device GPIO

    Also, have you verified using an oscilloscope or logic analyzer that the GPIO mux configuration is correct and the pin hookup is correct?  You should see serial data appearing on the pin(s).
