TMS320F28388D: Flash API and power loss

Hi,

What happens when the TMS320F28388D loses it's power supply while the Flash Manager Controller is executing a programming command? an erase command?

Is this any risky for the hardware or can I just experiment with the flash API without worrying about power losses?

Vamsi,

I saw on the schematics for the TMDSCNCD28388D available in the C2000Ware folder that there is a module enabling the reset on the microcontroller in case of brown-out event avoiding the microcontroller to run out of nominal power supply condition.

I case of a power loss then, the reset is activated before the microcontroller actually loses its power supply. What happens if the Flash Manager Controller is executing a programming/erasing command at this moment?

Are you asking what happens when the reset is activated when Flash is executing program/erase command and supplies are in operating range?

As per my analysis, a reset during flash operation can corrupt the data.
