TMS320F28388D: CPU1 Boots CPU2 at frequency which is different the default 200Mhz

Hi,

My project is using F28388D, and CPU1 works at clock 192 Mhz.

So Is possible to boot CPU2 works at 200Mhz? So if not , I want to boot CPU2 to work at the same clock with CPU1 : 192Mzh, What is the value for the macro used in the function "Device_bootCPU2()"?, the default macro is CPU2_BOOT_FREQ_200Mhz - 0xC800U? I have read the TRM of F28388D, so I can't the information to define the value for macro to boot CPU2 at frequency differrent 200Mhz.

No, CPU1 and CPU2 frq is always same because both have common divider so this is done in hardware itself.

Thanks for reply, in the device.h there are macros defined for " Device_bootCPU2()" function , inside the macro CPU2_BOOT_FREQ_200MHZ is 0xC800U, in the comment line in device.h , it says that must change the value of the macro if boot CPU2 at different freq. So how can I change the value of this macro?

How are you generating 192MHz clock ? Let me loop in our BOOTROM expert to provide further detail to you on this.

Have you referred this table in TRM ? Instead of 0xC800U, you need to modify it to 0xC000U.

Like vivek mentioned above you need to run both CPU at same freq.

I generated 192Mhz by configure the PLL factor in detail:

I use 20Mhz external Crystal:

PLLSYSCLK = 20MHz (XTAL_OSC) * 48 (IMULT) / (5 (REFDIV) * 1 (ODIV) * 1(SYSDIV)) = 192Mhz

IMULT = 48

REFDIV = 5

ODIV = 1

SYSDIV = 1
