Hi Experts,

According to TRM, the NMI module is enabled by the boot ROM during the startup process.
It seems that I have to disable NMIWDRS otherwise a reset occurs. Could you please let me know how to do?

I was not able to find points where NMIWRDS is disabled from C2000ware examples.
Is NMIWDRS enabled by the boot ROM?

Yes, it is enabled in BOOTROM and it can not be disabled. User need to find the cause of NMI and write the NMI handler to take care of the same.

Thank you for your quick check.
I have been looking for the NMIWD related portion on an example code called "led_ex1_blinky."
But I can not see any care about for interrupt void NMI_ISR(void){ } in f28004x_defaultisr.c.

Could you please let me know where the NMIWDRS is taken care?

Hi Vivek,

I am debugging F280049C with a conrolCARD.
Here is the NMI registers captured. You can see NMIWDCNT is always 0x0000.
I would like to know if boot ROM is called or not.

Could you please let me know how I can check NMI watchdog is running and where the NMIFLGCLR is cleared?

Hi Vivek,

I found the description in TRM.

NMI Watchdog Counter
This 16-bit counter increments once per SYSCLK cycle whenever any of the NMIFLG bits are set. If the counter reaches the period value in the NMIWDPRD register, the NMI module generates a reset (NMIWDRS). After this reset, the counter resets to zero and stops counting.
If all NMI flags are cleared, the counter will reset to zero and stop counting until another NMI flag is set.

When I write '1' a NMI flag bit, NMIWDCNT increments and NMIWDRS occurs.

I hope my debugging is correct.
