Hi everyone,

We're still working on this problem to undestand what is going on with out boards, this is the previous case:

We have recently discovered that we are able to load the program in unsecured ram but the memory browser shows that the ram's address 0 is full of 0xBEEF, not attended condition.

We would be very grateful if someone could help us.

Are you able to write to these memory location which is mentioned in 0xBEEF?

Also, can you check CSM password addresses 0x3F7FF8 - 0x3F7FFF?

Hi Manoj apologise for mi absence,

Yes I'm able to write to these location.

Memory address for CSM it's all 0's as you can see in DSP-KO-CCB-CSM

The area with beef is from 0x000022 to 0x0003FF

Matteo,

When addresses 0x3F7FF8 - 0x3F7FFF read zeros, it means device is locked.

You need to unlock the device by entering password in location 0xAE0 - 0xAE7 to unlock the device and load RAM / flash with new code.

PS:

One last thing, is it possible with another dsp that is not locked entering debug mode without using gel commands?

Like with config pins?

I didn't quite get your question. If you don't have password to unlock the device, your only option is to switch the part.

Yes, I was saying if it's possible with another board with a working dsp.

Matteo,

If your DSP isn't locked, you can load your program into RAM / flash. If the device is locked, then you can unlock the device and still program RAM / flash.

Probably that didn't come out right.

Put the locked dsp aside, take another working one that isn't locked.

With this working dsp I want to enter debug mode without gel commands.

How do I do? Do I have to set some pins?

What do you mean by debug mode? When you are connected to the device and unlocked, are you calling that "debug mode"?

Without gel file, you need to enter passwords 0xFFFF in 0xAE0 - 0xAE7 to unlock the device. I hope you know how to disable gel file

Please be a more descriptive what exactly are you trying to do? I don't seem to understand the context of your questions.

Manoj,

I managed to do so, I had only to put EMU0 and EMU1 at logic level 1 and put the device in operative mode.

I wanted to read and write registers with 3 parts sw.
