F28334 XDS510PP instability

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28334

Dear all,

I just received my first 3 boards on which I have to use a TMS320F28334. I designed this board for our specific application.

On this board we have a 30MHz quartz. I want to use a 150Mhz clock, for this I setup DSP28_PLLCR    to 10 and DSP28_DIVSEL  to  2.

On our board we have a Jtag connector to program and debug.

I'm using a XDS510PP plus on parallel port from spectrum digital (we have also a XDS510LC on USB with the same results).

I activated the clock output for an external FPGA with the same frequency.

I programmed a simple application the blink a led, and on the first board it runs, but on the others two it don't run and also the connection with the emulator became unstable. If I try to reprogram the flash the on-chip flash programming ask me the password ( that I didn't set), I have to switch off the board to reprogram it.

I have 3 identical board but only one works well and the others two need a lower clock frequency (max 135Mhz) to work well.

Anyone know if the problem can be the use of a simple crystal with the PLL at the maximun frequency or if probably I have to looking for something  wrong or not completely correct in my layout?

An oscillator instead a crystal can be better ?

Thank you in advance
