TMS320F280049C: How to load program in RAM during debug

When create a new ccs project, it have build configuration of 'debug' and 'release', if select 'debug', when establish debug, program loads to RAM instead of erase/write flash memory, my question is which option in the 'debug' build configuration set this ?

Shengnan,

All the C2000Ware example projects are provided with both RAM and Flash build configurations. To change the build configuration from RAM to Flash, users can import the project in to CCS and right click on the project and select 'Build Configurations' -> 'Set Active' -> 'Flash'.

this example 'buck_F28004x' has only release option which load to flash, how do i change the build configuration to load to ram?

Shengnan,

RAM based linker cmd file should be used. Also, if there is a _FLASH symbol defined in the project settings or in the headers, it should be disabled.

Hi Shengnan,

It is recommended to use a C2000wrae example as the base instead of creating a new CCS project.

You can use the 28004x_generic_ram_lnk.cmd file available in C2000ware\device_support\f28004x\common\cmd and update as needed.
