Hi,

I have some questions about after writing memory of TMS320F28374S.

1. Is the Flash memory of TMS320F28374S NOR type?

2. After verification, can the memory value change due to some external factor or charge loss?

3. Has it been reported that the value of the Flash memory of TMS320F28374S is corrupted?

4. The data of the specific address of TMS320F28374S is different from the written value.

　・address : 0x8CBD4
　・Correct data : 0x3AC0
　・Actual data : 0xFF01

　Please let me know if there is a way to isolate the cause.

Koki,

1. Yes, it is NOR.

2. It can - but very rare on this technology.

3. No.

Did you get an ECC error when this changed?

After writing the value to memory, I did a verify check.

As a result, only the data of 0x8CBD4 (address) was different from the written value.

Koki,

How did you program and verify the flash? Using flash API?

If yes, did you use Fapi_AutoEccGeneration mode to program? Or Fapi_DataOnly mode?

I would like to verify if there is an ECC error.
Specifically, I want to check the value of the ERR_STATUS register.
Is it possible to check the register value from Uniflash? Please tell me the confirmation procedure.

It would be better to use CCS for this debug. You can view the registers in CCS Registers window.

Is it possible to see the register value in UNIFLSH?
I know how to look at register values in CCS. But that way I have to write the program to the MCU before debugging, right?
Currently, the writing problem occurs only on one MCU, and I am concerned that the same problem cannot be reproduced by writing the program again.
In summary, I would like to see the register value of the MCU where the write failure is occurring without writing the program again.

Koki,

In UniFlash, you can use the Memory tab to view the registers. You can simply enter the register address that you want to watch. Reason I suggested CCS is so that you can debug while watching the registers as you know - You don't need to program the MCU again to debug in CCS. Flash should already have the image. You can simply load the symbols of your .out to debug.
