TMS320F28379D: Power-cycle required instead of manual reset after flashing

When I flash my Launchpad with said chip (Program to flash) the program executes.

After pressing the reset button, the program does not run through. A power cycle resolves the issue and leads to the expected behavior of the reset button.

This issue occurs with the "upp_ex1_sdr_tx"-Example program.

Any hints on why the MCU appears to lock itself out after a reset without a proper power cycle? I haven't had this problem with other programs.

Any help is appreciated as I would like to test the devices without unplugging and plugging them in again for each test.

When you said the reset does not get the application to execute, is debugger connected at that time?

Hello Vamsi,

thank you very much for your quick response.

As I am running my program on a Launchpad board, there is just the trivial one-way option of physically disconnecting the debugger. Is there a software setting to disconnect the debugger? The doubt concerning the debugger seems plausible to me, however, I do not remember having had a similar problem with other C2000ware examples. What should I test?

Hi Leo,

Sorry for late reply. There is no SW setting to disconnect the CCS but question here is not about physically connecting the cable but have you connected to CCS. If you are not connected to CCS then it should be ok. After you have flash the program, you can disconnect the CCS and then press the reset button and see if program works.
