DRV8301-69M-KIT: Offset problem

Part Number: DRV8301-69M-KIT

Hi TI team,

We developed our know controller board and driver board based on DRV8301-69M with 28069F/M MCU. We did integrity verification of the board and all where proper.

But one of the voltage offset (ADC- Vhb2 ) was 1.3V and the rest of the voltage offset values are 0.5V and we traced the circuity, all the connection and components are proper.

Kindly guide us what could be the reason.

Thanks

  • You might use lab01 to verify the PWM output first, and then add a right dc bus voltage to the input of the inverter without connecting the motor to see if the three-phase sampling voltage values are the same or very close.

  • Hi Yanming,

Thanks for the suggestion. We verified the PWM outputs there were no problem in that.

We made two observation with sensored and sensor-less

    1. With sensored i.e we used BLDC control(six step commutation with hall sensor) we are able to run the motor in both direction and motor was able to run at desired speed we set.

    2. with sensor-less the motor is toggling. In rare case motor is running properly but after sometime we are face same problem (motor toggling).

Can you help where the problem is created.

    Thanks

  • You might try to run lab01b and lab01c to verify the three-phase current and voltage sensing as the operation steps in lag guide.

If any current and voltage sensing signals are not correct. The motor can't run well.

And you should use lab02b/lab02c to identify the motor parameters for the other following labs.
