Dear expert:

I am using TMS320F280025,I want to change the boot pins from GPIO24 and GPIO32 to AIO pins.I have read the chapter:"Configuring Boot Mode Pins" in the technical reference.However,I don't know how to modify the code to change the boot mode pins.At the same time,it seemed that I need to program the boot rom to modify the boot mode pins but not flash area.So I don't know where to modify the register's value by using XDS110.And also I think it is not by changing the application code to Configure Boot Mode Pins.Could you tell me the detailed operation steps to Configure Boot Mode Pins:

1.Where to modify the BMSP register's value?

2.Using which tool to program the BOOT ROM?

3.the detailed steps of the whole process.

4.After I modify the boot mode pins,I think the application code can not run only if I set the new boot mode pins to the right level,is that right?

Hi Baskaran:

As shown in this document,the boot pins of 28002x seemed that they can't be changed to other pins:

So I just only can use the default boot pins:GPIO24 and GPIO32?Why the technical reference manual introduce the boot pins configuration in chapter 4?

Hi,

Table has F2802x and no mention of F28002x device. F28002x support changing the BOOT PINs like F28004x device.

How can I write to the BOOTPIN_CONFIG memory location in user-configurable dual code security module (DCSM) OTP?Use XDS110?Where could I modify the memory in CCS?

For modifying you can use the dcsm example from C2000ware - \c2000\C2000Ware_3_04_00_00\driverlib\f28002x\examples\dcsm

Modify the contents, compile and load the image using CCS. During loading the OTP contents will get written.

You can confirm by checking the locations in memory window.

To add what Baskaran mentioned, there are two ways to do it -

Using CCS Flash plug-in GUI where you have GUI fields for all the security settings (USER OTP locations) including BOOT configuration. User can enter the value they want to program and manually program it. This is used for initial development. You can click on "Tools -> On-Chip Flash") in CCS to bring-up the Flash plug-in GUI.
Integrating the security setting into .out itself by using specific .cmd and ,asm file which has the info about USER OTP value and it get programmed as part of .out programming. For this I would suggest to use the security tool to generate the .asm and .cmd file. You can refer this app note on how to use this tool.
