TMS320F280049: 280049 reflash from CCS

Part Number: TMS320F280049

Hi,

during a reflash of 280049 from CCS, we suspect a GPIO pin which was held high holding on an external power circuit is being reset. Can you firstly confirm that with normal CCS reflashing this is the expected behaviour, and secondly is there a guide to how you can adapt any of the CCS scripts to force a pin to stay at a value during reflash?

regards

Alastair

  • Alastair,

    1) In gel file, there will be a reset for pre-file load as shown below.  If needed, you can comment it out. This might have been in place for the gel files of all the C2000 devices to ensure a good known state for the device before initiating code load.

    2) Which version of CCS are you using?

Up to CCSV10.2, a reset is done on target connect as well (this is done by the flash loader).  In CCS10.3 and onwards, the flash loader allows you to choose between reset enable/disable - see below snapshot (CCS debug view -> Top menu -> Tools -> On-chip flash -> scroll down in the On-chip flash GUI).  You can disable this reset as well (it is disabled by default as you can see - Reset on Connect is not enabled).

Hope this eliminates the script question you asked for.

    Thanks and regards,

  • Alastair,

Do you have any update on this?  Can I close this post?

    Thanks and regards,
