TMS320F28375S: I2C-B functionality on GPIOs

Part Number: TMS320F28375S

My customer is using TMS320F28375s DSP in their product. The GPIO mux is configured to make use of I2C-B consisting of GPIO2 SDAB on MUX6 and GPIO3 SCLB on MUX6 as well. They need to move the I2C-B functionality to different GPIO’s. With the 100LQFP package the only other options are:

SDAB, MUX6, GPIO66, Pin 61

SCLB, MUX6, GPIO41, Pin 51

OR

SDAB, MUX6, GPIO66, Pin 61

SCLB, MUX6, GPIO69, Pin 75

Are both legal combinations to make use of I2C-B on this DSP?

Thanks!
Lauren

  • Hi Lauren,

Yes, I verified on the F2837xS data sheet and both of these configurations are suitable I2C-B alternative pins for the 100-pin HTQFP chip. Note that if your customer requires the GPIOHIBWAKE signal (which occupies pin 51), then it would be necessary to use pin 75 for SCLB.
