TMS320F28379D: add IPC and core 2 to existing dual axis project

Part Number: TMS320F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi, I'm starting from the dual axis example and want to add core 2 with basic IPC. Not clear on the correct way to add this

All the dual core examples use the libraries starting with "F2837xD_xxxx", but the dual axis project uses the libraries from "c2000ware\driverlib\f2837xd\driverlib\...". There is an ipc.[ch] file here, so I assume this would be the correct one to use.

So would I just drag the ipc.c file from driverlib folder into my existing src_driver folder with the other driver source files? The IPC code is similar, but not exactly the same.

Also, if I'm correct about the above, are there any example using the driverlib code, they all seem to be the F2837xD code

thanks

  • Hi Ken,

ipc.c/ipc.h is not complete/tested in current release for F2837xD device. That is why it is not included in driverlib.lib. It will be part of Q1/2022 release. Until then you will have to use bitfield based.

I have a local copy, but it is not tested fully. You want to use I can share with you, but please know it is not system tested, and in case of any issue, you will need to debug yourself.
