TMS320F28388D: FSI "Multi-Slave Configurations" example

Part Number: TMS320F28388D

Hello everyone,

I am planning to use the FSI to connect multiple TMS320F28388D with each other.

In TIs documentation (SPRACM3D) there is an example using a daisy chain explained.

In the TRM of the TMS (32.3.10 Multi-Slave Configurations) another approach is explained, does TI have an example using the described alternative instead?

Thanks and regards,

Marcel Kummer.

  • Hi Marcel,

We recommend using the implementations discussed in the SPRACM3 App Note. That includes the daisy-chain or star connection example, which both have accompanying SW examples.

In the TRM of the TMS (32.3.10 Multi-Slave Configurations) another approach is explained, does TI have an example using the described alternative instead?

We don't have an example for the TDM_IN implementation and don't really recommend it due to signal degradation concerns (because FSI packets are not re-transmitted by the device in the implementation). Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Best,

    Kevin
