Dear team,
Why does Address*(0x400B1000) display " memory map prevented reading"?
The customer used the example code- C2000Ware_3_04_00_00\driverlib\f2838x\examples\cm\i2c
MCAN Message RAM 17K x 8 0x4007 8000 0x4007 C3FF
Why is this part of RAM used? I don’t have enough RAM now, and 28388D doesn’t support expansion. Could i use this RAM to store real-time data If I don’t use MCAN?
The definition in the gel file starts with 0x400A1000. Is the manual wrong? And the address data of 0x400A1000 can be seen.
And he didn’t find the EtherCAT Registers mentioned in gel.
The customer wants to use the EtherCAT RAM section and MCAN Message RAM for data storage. Now he can read and write the MCAN Message RAM section, but he can only read and not write the EtherCAT RAM section. Then he searched for the EtherCAT Registers in Registers View, but he couldn’t find it. How can he write data to the EtherCAT RAM segment?
Please help to check it.
Hi,
You are getting error message because EtherCAT RAM direct access address is not mentioned in address map. It look like a mistake in map file but let me check tis with our SW team and get back to you in 1-2 days.

Vivek Singh
