Software code, app note, etc for DCDC kit and schematic for the Powertrain module

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITECustomer is evaluating the C2000 DCDC kit. They are looking for an app note on how the C2000 can be coded for the demo. They would like to twick the code to control and powertrain module. So, the app note, and original design files will help. They are trying to get the schmatic of the PowerTrain modules on board. They want to know what the scaling up or down means for Powertrain module control based on current and voltage monitoring. They also want to know how this can be done. Thanks.
  • Hi,

They are using the C2000 DCDC Developer's kit? The page for this kit: http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdsdcdc8kit.html contains a place to download a lot of this information. They can go to that page and scroll down to "Support Software" and use the two links there to get installers for the collateral files you listed. Make sure to install this one first, then this one. This includes hardware schematics that show the PowerTrainModules, etc. and includes the software files and ccs projects for the demo. I hope that this helps!

  • Thanks  a lot Katie. Anything has TI done to show case a constant current digital conversion design using C2000? It'll be nice to see a 5A constant output current from a 48V DC input.

    Best.

  • What output voltage are they looking for?

We have proven constant current mode on the current RGBLEDKIT but it is 12-24VDCin / 25-50VDC out but only 350mA per string - topology wise, this can be increased by changing the passive components on the design.  This board shows both boost and SEPIC topologies.  Documentation for this board including the software and schematics are available in controlSUITE.

Second option - we have constant current mode on the new phase shifted full bridge.  But again, the voltages are different - 400VDCinput, 12Vout @50A.  This board has not been released yet.
