TMS320F280025C: Directing printf function to LIN configured as SCI

In my project I reserved LINB interface as a debug port. The SCI interface is reserved for communication with another device. As we are using serial terminal so we have configured the LINB interface for SCI operation. I want to know if it is possible to direct printf function to this LINB interface?. If yes then please provide some guidelines. It will be very difficult to send debug logs if we cannot direct printf to LINB.

I have adopted following solution for the time being: using snprintf function to write formatted strings into a char buffer and the calling a function to send contents of char array one by one. It is working for me. maybe some one has a better approach to share?.
