TMS320F240 USB Emulator Solution

We are in need of an updated programming tool/SW for the TMS320F240. We have a legacy product that we are still producing. The parallel port emulators work well with older PCs, but it is getting very difficult if not impossible to find a PC with a parallel port that will work well. So, we need to find a USB emulator with software for programming this older part. Also, it would be advantageous to have a Windows Command Line option for programming as well. I have found one USB emulator (JTAG JET-C2000) that will work, but it is not being manufactured any longer. Any chance there is someone that has found a viable solution?

The entire toolchain for this device is now obsolete. Spectrum Digital had some solutions but they went out of business last year. Please reach out to 3rd parties such as BP Microsystems , DATA I/O or Codeskin for programming solutions.

I presume you currently use either Prg2xx.exe or SDFlash. One thing you could look into is USB-to-Parallel port converters. I have not tried them myself, but it is something you could explore.
