We have tried with the new serial flash programmer tool.

It works as what was described in the demo if we follow it exactly.

(Single Bank LFU with Device Reset on F28002x User Guide)
The serial_flash_programmer_appln.exe tool refers to the serial flash programmer utility that only downloads the Application to the target.
The serial_flash_programmer.exe sends both the kernel and the application to the target.

I tried to flash kernel by using serial_flash_programmer.exe tool but the result is shown as below:

It hangs there.
Anyone have the idea about what is the reason behind of it?

Chzi,

In order to use the serial_flash_programmer.exe, the device boot mode select pins need to be set to SCI Boot Mode. In another thread you were describing issues with loading the application with the serial_flash_programmer_appln.exe file, which requires that the device be set to Flash Boot. What boot mode is your device in when using the serial_flash_programmer.exe file?

Hi Anu,

When I use the serial_flash_programmer.exe, I will set it to SCI Boot Mode, but the result is shown as above.

Are you able to run the C2000Ware echoback example fine? If not already tried, please try once.

Hi Vamsi,

If the example you mentioned is sci_ex3_echoback.c, then my answer is yes, it works correctly.

Chzi,

What are positions of the boot mode switches? The F28002x controlCard User Guide has the switch positions mixed up for SCI Boot - GPIO 24 should be down/0, and GPIO32 should be up/1. If they are in the opposite positions, try switching them and running the example again?

Thanks, this problem is solved, it works correctly after I switch the GPIO24 & 32.
