TMS320F28335: Disabling XRS during Booting

Hi,

I am using SPI boot mode for programming f28335. I'm using a external reset IC- TPS3306-18QDRQ1 (with 0.8s timeout) for watchdog protection. During booting process, XRS pin getting enable(RESET from IC)

and resetting the controller, due to this booting is not successful . Is there any option to disable the XRS pin during boot ROM process?

There is no way to disable the function of the XRSn pin, but we do provide a callback function as part of the Flash API to allow for intentional pauses in the flash process to service time critical events like your external watchdog. Here is the link the API user guide, go to page 16 where it talks about how to use the callback function in your system.

We achieved successful booting prior to 0.8s by increasing baud rate. In CCS > properties > hex utility > boot table options > SPIBRR=3, LOSPCP=0.
