TMS320F28379D: Boot ROM RAM Initialization

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Good Morning,

I am looking at SPRUHM8I, section 4, “ROM Code and Peripheral Booting”.  There are several places which refer to the ROM code as initializing the RAMs.  Which RAMs are initialized and what state are they in upon completion?

Thank you,

Ed

  • Ed,

All of the RAMs with ECC or Parity will require explicit initialization at power-up in order to bring the RAM contents and their respective error detection bits into alignment:

The memory contents will be cleared to 0 during initialization.
