TMS320F28377D: Timing requirement for Synchronous GPIO option

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Dear Teams,

My customer is using F28377D. They are wondering why it does not have the SDFM timing requirements when using synchronous and 6-sample options on the datasheet and TRM. Could you help provided that to my customers? They are keen to know the set up time and hold time when using synchronous and 6 sample option.

Thanks!

Dylan

  • Dylan,

In F28377D, we want customers to use 3-sample QUAL for new design.

This option is recommended because it provides protection against SDFM module corruption due to occasional noise glitches that can cause false comparator trip events and false filter output. SYNC option doesn't provide that protection based on our simulation results and 6-sample QUAL is a overkill and will gobble-up SD-Cx when operating at 20MHz SD-Cx.

    Regards,

    Manoj
