Part Number: DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT
Hello Guys,
Good day.
In the DRV8302-HC-C2-KIT BOM file, a 140 mohms inductor rated at 1.5A were mentioned (DR74-330-R). However this Inductor is currently not available in the market. Is it okay to replace it with a 130 mOhms / 2.0A inductor.
What should they pay attention to when choosing an inductor for this design? Would it be a disadvantage to be 130 mOhms or 120 mOhms ?
Thanks and regards,
Art
Do you mean L1 inductor? It's for the internal buck control. What's inductance of the inductor you used? If the inductance is similar to the one in BOM, that could be OK.
Hello Art,
The buck integrated into the DRV8302 is a TPS54160, so feel free to use Webench designer and any content available for the TPS54160 to select possible alternate external components.
The values seem similar enough but make sure the inductance is correct.
Thanks,
Matt
