TMS320F280049C: Compliance pattern in bsd file (Boundary Scan)

Hi,

I had a look at the compliance pattern in the bsd file (sprm690a) for boundary scan for the F280049C device.

There I can see the following:

attribute COMPLIANCE_PATTERNS of F28004x : entity is
"(XRSn)" &
"(0)";

Is this correct? I think XRSn should be "1" for boundary scan not "0" (?).

BSDL team came back with their analysis. XRSN should be '0' for boundary sacn to work on F280049.

Hi Joseph,

This is kind of strange. In the mean time I have tested Boundary Scan with a F280049C Control Card (TMDSCNCD280049C) on a Control Card Docking Station. On this Control Card XRSn is controlled by a supervisory circuit and is held high in normal condition. In this state I was able to control the outputs and read the inputs of the device with boundary scan.

Pulling XRSn low while doing boundary scan would be difficult as it has to be controllable on the JTAG connector.

TMS320F28377DZWT bsd file (sprm644a) for example has a compliance pattern of "1" for XRSn.

Hi Patrick,

What you are saying makes sense. The supervisor circuit has an active RESET low and at RESET condition (XRSn low), nothing will run on the part. Let me get back with the BSDL team for more clarity.
