TMS320F280049: Recovery method from sudden power down of TMS320F280049 writing FW to flash memory.

If power supply to TMS320F280049 is suddenly down during writing FW to flash via JTAG, is there any way to recover TMS320F280049 and start up normally again ?
If no, I'd like to know the timing of power down resulting in breaking TMS320F280049. (If knowing the timing of this, I might be able to avoid this timing.)

By the way, one of our engineer experienced that CCS JTAG can't connect to TMS320F28069 probably because of sudden power down during FW flashing via JTAG.
Does TMS320F280049 have similar problem of TMS320F28069 ?

Uegaki-san,

The DCSM(code security) implementation is very different from the F2806x to the F28004x device. We have place the passwords outside of the main array(in OTP), which caused many of the issues that you refer to in the F2806x if power was lost during flash programming.

So if power is lost during main array programming, it will not cause an unknown password to be in the device so JTAG should still work normally. We do still recommend using the wait boot mode, to ensure that the device is executing from non-secure memory when the JTAG attempts to connect.

Let me see if we have some document that gives some more details on the differences between the flash on these two devices.(F28004x is 65nm based FMOS, while F2806x was 180nm FMOS process).
