Hello, I am wondering if this motor control kit (TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT https://www.ti.com/tool/TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT#related-design-resources) can be operated in H-bridge configuration or not? Specifically, this kit has 3-phase inverter consisting of six IGBTs. Can I just disable the gate signal for one of the phase leg, and only operate the remaining four switches (two phase legs) as an H-bridge? I am afraid there might be some logic protections that prevent me from operating this way.

What application do you want to use this kit as H-bridge? What PWM frequency, maximum and minimum duty do you want to use?

Please be note, this kit is recommended for three-phase motor drive control, and the maximum PWM frequency is 20kHz, and is not recommended for power supply applications.

Thank you for the response. I just plan to use it as a learning kit and want to know if the six switches could be independently controlled or not. The H bridge can be simply generic application as a single-phase inverter as compared to three-phase.. Sounds good, I am also looking at 10s of kHz frequency.

Yes, you can use this kit as H-bridge, just need to pay attention to something as mentioned above or in the hardware user's guide.
