TMS320F280041: CLLLC

Part Number: TMS320F280041
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-02002, TMDSCNCD280049C

Hi,TI

I built a CLLLC board according to TIDM-02002 with some parameters changed,

when i test driver and DS voltage of primary top MOSFET signal, some oscillation occured when turn on and off MOSFET, illustrated below.

the yellow is driver signal ,green is VDS.

    1. how to eliminate the oscillation?

    2. Furthermore ,when i increase the DC LINK voltage grandually ,the XDS100V3 emulator will lost communication with the target.

  • When looking at ringing there are two common sources, 1 parasitic and 2 frequency reflections. Here is a nice short article discussing it https://resources.altium.com/p/what-causes-ringing-on-a-pcb-and-how-to-solve-it

Typically parasitic dominate in shorter traces, or traces which the rise or fall times are shorter than the round-trip propagation time. Unless your traces are really long I would start by looking into parasitic.

It might also be worth checking your ground return path, If it is exceedingly long you may have some poor signal performance.

On the XDS100v3 disconnection... are you using a controlCARD in your system? TMDSCNCD280049C? This EVM uses an XDS100V2 and removing the C26:A capacitor will likely help your disconnection issues.
