TMS320F28388S: Interrupt vector table for UART

Hi team,

My customer is developing their firmware on F28388S and will communicate with the other device through UART.
They found an interrupt vector table in the section "3.4.7 Vector Tables" of Technical Reference Manual, but they couldn't find any interrupt vector for UART there.

Could you provide where the information is?

Hi,

Module name for UART interface on C28x subsystem is "SCI". Please look for that mapping.

Hi,

Thank you for your quick response. I will ask the customer to use SCIx port.

I also confirm about CM_UART this time, because the customer will use UARTA_TX and UARTA_RX pin to communicate - I've not confirmed the reason to use it in the customer yet. Could you let me know how to handle the interrupt situation on UARTA port which is CM_UART? We can see the SCI's interrupt vector in the table, but can't see the UARTA in it.

Hi,

CM_UART is only mapped to CM side and it's not accessible by C28x (CPU1/CPU2) hence you do not see UART interrupt mapped to CPU1/CPU2.

I understood the reason CM_UART is only mapped to CM side.

If the customer use UARTA, should they refer the line of IRQ18 in Table 41-5 of Technical Reference Manual?

Hi Isao,

Yes, that is the correct interrupt.

The CM_UART module has only one interrupt line for multiple possible interrupt sources (TX, RX, and various errors), so the user will need to determine which enabled interrupt was the source of the ISR in case multiple sources are enabled.
