Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customers have many products currently using SM320F28335GJZMEP but are looking for an updated device and have tentatively targeted the TMS320F28379 family. Their current part is from the "Extended Performance" devices. They have several questions regarding this.

1. Does TI have any plans to add the TMS320F28379 device to the EP category?
2. Can TI screen the parts for performance at the low end temperature or -55C?
3. What are the expected degradation areas if the TMS320F28379 part is operated/stored at -55C rather than its currently specified low temperature of -40C?

From a quick parametric search based upon the devices rated down to -55C (https://www.ti.com/microcontrollers-mcus-processors/microcontrollers/c2000-real-time-control-mcus/products.html#p1192=-55;-55 ) found there is a TMS320F28377D-EP with an operating temperature range of -55 to 125C

As Chester offered, using the F28377D-EP variant would be the recommended path rather than trying to understand how the performance might degrade for F28379D.

I am not aware of any plans to offer F28379D as -EP.
