TMS320F28076: Trying to get software to execute on power-up without using Code Composer to position and start.

I would like to have some assistance with using Code Composer to program the FLASH in a 28076 processor. More specifically, I seem to be able to program the FLASH, and the processor seems to execute properly. The problem is it only runs using my computer with Code Composer. It does not seem to execute on a power up. I have a brief Assembler routine to perform a long branch to the starting location, but for some reason that does not seem to make it into the dissassembled listing.

Hello,

What boot mode is the device in during power up? Are the boot pins set to Flash Boot and is the assembler routine located at the Flash entry point?

Hello Anu,

Thank you for your response. I assume the boot pins (GPIO72 and GPIO84) need to be pulled up. Is this correct?

Charles,

Is the assembler routine located at the flash entry point? This would be 0x80000 in memory. You can check the linker command file and the .map file generated from the project build to see where the assembler routine is located.
