TMS320F28379D: Interfacing C2000 Device with Isolated Gate Driver APWM Pin

Hi team,

When working with the TMS320F28379D and an isolated gate driver, like the UCC217xx family, APWM pin, is there a recommended way to easily interface with the PWM signal?

I know there are ways to filter it and feed to an ADC, but that would require more components and an ADC port. Is there a way on the C2000 to natively handle the PWM signal? Any recommendations?

Are you trying to capture the duty and period of the incoming PWM?

Hi Nima,

Correct. The PWM duty cycle changes based on the secondary side's AIN input voltage. A common use is to monitor the temperature of the high power IGBT or SiC FET.

Try to use the ECAP module to capture duty and period.
