Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE
My customer is currently beginning a project using an F28388D controlCARD, and was looking for some guidance on the preferred compiler version to use for the ARM based Connectivity Manager.
C2000Ware 4_00_00_00 has shipped with an issue where the ARM compiler version pointed to by the example project files is mislabeled in the .projectspec file: Compiler/TMS320F28388D: Compiler for F28388D - C2000 microcontrollers forum - C2000︎ microcontrollers - TI E2E support forums, and the older 20.2.5.LTS was actually used. Also, driverlib is compiled with 20.2.5.LTS for the CM.
TI documentation is recommending moving to the ARM-CGT-CLANG-1 compiler ARM-CGT IDE, configuration, compiler or debugger | TI.com. Some questions:
- Does this also apply to the F28388D at this time?
- What is the expected timeframe for a C2000Ware delivery where the examples and driverlib have been tested against the ARM-CGT-CLANG compiler?
Thanks,
Nick
