Hello, Dear TI Team:

I am getting the warning in the image below while compiling my project.

My CCS version is v11.0.0.00012. Also, I am using compiler TI v21.6.0.LTS version.

Project console log and linker file are attached to this case.

/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/171/ConsoleLogandLinkerFiles.rar

Since this issue is flash programming, the warning message given is important. How can we solve this warning message.

Hi Sinan,

I believe the issue was reported at :

			GROUP
			{
				.TI.ramfunc
				{ -l F021_API_F2837xD_FPU32.lib}
			 
			}

Warning is reported because a) linker is unable to find the specified lib OR b) The application is not using any functions from the lib, hence there are no sections from the lib used in the linking stage.

Hi, Veena:

I included the F021_API_F2837xD_FPU32.lib file in the project. Also the application is using a function from the lib.

My problem still remains.

Hi, Veena:

I removed private parts of my project. And I added the project to this case.

Hi Sinan,

I have not done any updates to the project. Only updated the include path to the correct folder (The one highlighted below)

I was able to build both the projects under f2837xd_flash\examples\dual\flash_programming

I am using CCS v11, compiler v21.6

Can you check the .map file to check if any of the sections from the library is actually being included in the final .out?

I checked the .map file. However, I could not see the filename "F021_API_F2837xD_FPU32.lib" in the .map file.

My .map file is attached.

Hi Sinan,

This is probably because none of the sections from the library is being used in the application.

The map file will show all the sections used from different .lib/.c files in the final .out file.

I write and read data to the flash using the FLASH library.

I tried again. But, my compiler gives the same warning.

That means the sections in the library is not included in the ramfuncs section.

Can you try giving the absolute path to the library in the cmd file?

        GROUP
        {
            ramfuncs
            { -l <path>\F021_API_F2837xD_FPU32.lib}
         
        } LOAD = FLASHD,
