TMDSDOCK28335: C2000 microcontrollers forum

Part Number: TMDSDOCK28335
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-02002

I want to measure high-frequency(~50Khz) voltage/current using f28335 DSP.
Can anyone kindly recommend me a voltage and current sensor module that can be directly connected to the f28335 DSP board? (The analogue input voltage to the board should be in the range of 0-3V)
Thank you

  • Hamid,

Can you comment on the control system you are trying to implement?  Reason I ask is that we have many reference designs publicly available, if we can find something similar to what you are doing I think that would be the best way to pick a sensor for your needs.

  • Hi Matthew

I am working on a Dual Active Bridge Converter. The switching frequency is usually high, in my case I am using 50Khz. So, the frequency of the voltages at the primary and secondary sides of the transformer would be 50khz. The frequency of the current will also be 50Khz. However, the output is DC so for that there is no issue of the offset voltage(I assume). I found some voltage sensor modules for Arduino that provides output voltage in the 0 to 3/5V range but not sure if they can capture 50khz signal accurately. The voltage level for my system is around 300V, so I am assuming that the 0-400V sensor module would be suitable.

    Thank you

  • Hamid,

Have you seen the voltage and current sense circuitry on TIDM-02002? Admittedly that converter is much faster than your application 300kHz-700kHz, but it should be a good example of how to sample both.
