Greetings,
When I change a linker command file, CCS does not automatically rebuild the project when the Build button is clicked. Is there any way to add the command file to the project dependencies?
Thank you,
Ed

Hi,
What is the CCS version that you are using?
I tried with CCSv11 with the "Build Automatically" button enabled. After this , if I change the linker command file , the project is built automatically.
The linker command file is added to the project in the same manner as the source files are added.

Hi Siddarth,
I am using version 10.4.0.00006. Is there a "Build Automatically" button?
Thank you,
Ed
Ed,
There is a "Build Automatically" button in the Project Explorer under the "Project" tab.

Hi Siddharth,
I tried that, and the project still won't build when I change a cmd file.
Thanks,
Ed
Ed,
Can you share your project ? I am unable to reproduce the issue you are seeing . For me, if I modify a linker command file and save it, the project gets rebuilt automatically if the "Build Automatically" button is enabled.

Siddharth
Hi Siddharth,
When Build Automatically is used, a build is started every time I use Ctl-S to save a file. This happens with all the intermediate saves that I do when writing code. So builds are starting when I'm not yet ready to do a build. As a result, I have needed to turn off the Build Automatically feature.
Thanks,
Ed
Ed,
That's the only option right now to rebuild the project automatically.

Siddharth
