CODECOMPOSER: How to add a Specific Memory Location to the Expressions View?

Hi all!

As I mentioned I want to add a specific memory location to the expressions view to watch. Thus, I click the Add new expression button but here I cant type address. For example I want to read the location between 0x00003180 and 0x00003187.But i cant add it.

Is it possible to watch a specific memory location?

You should be able to do this in the Expressions view.

Try something like the below syntax:

*(0x3180)

Thanks! It worked for a single word. Is it possible to do for memory arrays also?

I tried somethings like *(0x3180-0x318f) and *(0x3180) - *(0x318f) but didn't work.

Are you trying to cast the raw memory address into an array type and expand the array in the expressions view? I don't think that will work.

I am not sure if the casting is write word but just wanted see some memory region like sequential words in the expression view but I think it is not possible. It is not vital but it would be nice to have. I might need to observe two memory region at once in a session.

Then to open 2 memory browser would solve my problem but it didn't work. Then I open two CCS windows then I can have 2 memory browsers. Kind of work around but looks like it works. Thanks.
