TMS320F28379D: Start EPWM TB Counter using external source

Dear TIers,

In my application I want to start TB counter using external trig source like a rising or falling edge on gpio. Besides using external interrupt and adding starting TB counter command in ISR functions to turn on TB counter of EPWM module, I cannot come up with any other way with better response speed.  So I want to know do we have a possible way to turn on TB counter by external trig automatically? Thanks!
