TMS320F280049C: SDL: LxRAM Parity Test

Hello,

example how to test GSxRAM parity mechanism is provided in SDL library for TMS320F280049C (Example project name sdl_ex_ram_ecc_parity_test). Do you have also some example or ideas how can I test LSxRAM? Especially when I run the program from the LSx RAM.

The parity testing routine is identical for LSx RAMs. You call MemCfg_setTestMode() with the appropriate LSx RAM value (MEMCFG_SECT_LS0, MEMCFG_SECT_LS1, etc...), and make sure the address at which the errors are being injected is within that section. Have you tried that? Is it not working?

I have tried it and it was not working for me. I think because I run some functions from LxRAM. Do you mean it should work nevertheless?

That could be the problem. If you're trying to execute code or access data from a RAM block while it is in test mode, you can get some strange behavior. You'll need to make sure that the code and variables (stack included) that are being used to perform the test are not stored in the RAM that is being tested. Same thing with any interrupts that may execute during the test if you don't have them disabled already.

Ok. I will try to separate test variables for RAM test from functions in linkerscript. I will give you feedback then.
