Is controlSUITE 3.4.9 impacted to Log4j Vulnerability? If yes, is there a workaround or mitigation or patch fix release to address the log4j Vulnerability issues?

    HI,

    There are not plans to update controlSUITE. Please note that C2000Ware-DigitalPower-SDK has replaced this software package. Please check if there is support for the solutions and libraries that you are referencing in this newer package.

    Let me step back & explain the complete story. I have recently purchased a TI LaunchXL-F28379D kit. The demo matlab software for this kit 'mcb_pmsm_foc_qep_f28379d' doesnt compile and needs a matlab add-on to be setup. The "Embedded Coder Support Package for Texas Instruments C2000 Processors version 21.1.4" add-on is asking for installation of TI controlSUITE. The add-on setup does not accept "C2000Ware-DigitalPower-SDK". I tried installing it instead of the TIcontrolSUITE. The matlab add-on does not setup without TIcontrolSUITE.

    Can TI provide a way to atleast build and run the matlab demo sw for the TI LaunchXL-F28379D kit with sw that does not have log4j vulnerabilities?

    Hi Sujay,

    Even though TI has migrated to C2000Ware from ControlSUITE, the TI C2000 support package still uses ControlSUITE for older targets like F28379D. The newer targets are using libraries from C2000Ware in TI C2000 support package and soon the ControlSUITE will be replaced with C2000Ware in the upcoming releases for all the targets. Until then, it is required to use ControlSUITE 3.4.9 for F28379D.
