TMS320F28377D: Reconnecting the target once the connection is lost

Hi,

I am running my TI 28377 DSP with my circuit and I keep my DSP connected to watch and change the variable values in debug watch window in CCS while the circuit is operating. During a certain operation of circuit when EMI noise is increased, the DSP loses connection and I cannot watch or change the variable values anymore. It is very important for me to reconnect because the command to shutdown the circuit is also given from the DSP. If I cannot reconnect, I cannot shutdown the circuit. My questions is

Is it possible to connect the target without halting or resetting it while the circuit is operating? If yes, could you guide me how it can be done?
