TMDSCNCD28388D: -2131 errors on CCS to TMDSCNCD28388D connection

Part Number: TMDSCNCD28388D

Hi,

I have two TMDSCNCD28388D boards and one 3rd party 28388D evaluation board.

JTAG Debug Port on both boards (TMDSCNCD28388D & 3rd party EVM) were detected successfully by the host PC.

But, when I try to connect CCSv11 to TMDSCNCD28388D, I  keep getting -2131 error.

Whereas, I can successfully connect CCSv11 to the 3rd part EVM with the same CCS project configuration.

So I guess, there is no problem on host side configuration.

Please help me to fix the problem.

My configurations are :

- Code Composer Version = 11.1.0.00011

- C2000 Ware Version = 4.00.00

- Windows Version = 11 pro

- TMDSCNCD28388D board version = MCU063B

I found a similar issue on this forum, and I tried its solution, but it didn’t work.

Even I tried EVERY combination of DIP switches (S1, S2) for two TMDSCNCD28388D boards but in vain.

  • Daniel,

You need to connect two usb cables:

    • One at the controlCARD: this is for xds100V2. You have this connected, and is enumerated properly in windows device manager (from image above)
    • Second one at docking station. This provides power to controlCARD. Looking at the picture, it is not there. Can you please confirm if you are connecting that?
  • Santosh Jha,

My problem have cleared by your answer.

I didn't connect the second cable.

I thought one USB connection might be enough because the 3rd party EVM does.

Thank you for your kind reply.
