Hi Expert,

Help my colleague ask a question from customer side: Does TMS320F280025 UID include any production information like production date or production batch number? If yes, is there any method to read them from UID?

    Hi Andrew,

    The UID generation algorithm is based off of random numbers from a secure database and ensures that none of the UIDs are duplicated.  This ensures uniqueness of UID for every part shipped out.  The production information is not used in UID generation.  If production date or batch number is required, such information is available in the device marking.  This is typically the middle or last line and contains the format XX-YYYYY and it is also referred to as LTC or lot trace code.  Provide the LTC to us and we can request our production team to look up the production information on the part, if this is required.
