TMS320F28379D: 24 ePWM-Channels why only 16 HRPWM-Channels

Hello,

Can someone explain to me why the device has only 16 HRPWM-channels, although 24 ePWM-channels are available?

Hi Bui,

The extra logic required for the high resolution capability is only on 16 channels not all 24 channels, that is why only 16 of them are marked as hrpwm channels.

In "TMS320F2837xD Dual-Core Microcontrollers Technical Referenz Manual - SPRUHM8I" I can't find which EPWM has this high resolution capability (HRPWM) and which one doesn't. Can you point out me this setting?

Hi Bui,

Apologies for that confusion. I will update the documentation to include it explicitly but the first 8 EPWM instances (A/B channels) have HRPWM capabilities.
