TMS320F28069M: Internal DAC

Part Number: TMS320F28069M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8301, DRV8302

Hello team e2e,

One of our customers is considering to replace the DRV8301 by DRV8302, the only problem is the pin 11 on the DRV8302, OC_ADJ, an analog voltage for overcurrent protection that needs to be set from a DAC on the MCU. Is there any way this can be done using the internal DAC of the F28069M ? I want to know if the GPIO pin on the F28069M that supports the SCLK pin currently can support the DAC.

Thanks,

Anubha

  • The internal DAC of the F28069M is only used to the internal comparator, it doesn't connect to any pins for output as DAC. You might add a RC filter to a PWM as PWMDAC to simulate the DAC.

I want to know if the GPIO pin on the F28069M that supports the SCLK pin currently can support the DAC.

I'm not fully understand what do you mean. The SCLK is the clock for SPI, you can use SPI for control an external DAC device, not as a DAC output.
